„Sandra Claus“ is an entertaining English Christmas play about equality, courage, and strong daughters with 12+ roles and approx. 40 minutes running time, ideal for school classes, children's, and youth theater groups.
This humorous Christmas play tells the story of Sandra Claus, Santa's dedicated and clever daughter. When her brother Claus Junior would rather go surfing in Hawaii and Santa injures his back just before Christmas, the holiday is in danger of being canceled. Sandra, who contributes a great deal to the organization of the Christmas operations all year long, would love to step in for her father. However, outdated traditions and Santa's stubbornness stand in her way. But then the sleigh filled with presents and cookies is stolen, and everything seems to be lost for good. This modern Christmas play humorously addresses the challenge of outdated gender roles and deals with themes such as equality, family, courage, solidarity, teamwork, and social behavior.
Comes with a downloadable teaching resource pack including lesson ideas, discussion prompts, and classroom activities – perfect for extending the play into an EFL or drama lesson.
